Rain across the Rio Grande Valley on Tuesday night caused several baseball and softball games to be rescheduled.

The affected games have been postponed and will be made up tomorrow, unless otherwise noted. Dates and times are subject to change, and will be updated if inclement weather continues.

In 32-6A baseball, Harlingen High at Harlingen South is scheduled to play at 6:30 tonight. Brownsville Hanna at Los Fresnos and Brownsville Rivera at San Benito (a change from the original site of the game, Rivera) are slated to start at 6:30 p.m.

In 32-5A, Brownsville Veterans Memorial will play Mercedes at 7 p.m. at La Villa.

The only area game played to completion Tuesday night was Rio Hondo at Grulla. The Gators defeated the Bobcats 11-1 in six innings in District 32-4A competition.

Elsewhere in 32-4A, Port Isabel is scheduled to play host to Hidalgo at 7:30 p.m., and Progreso will play at Raymondville. The time of the Raymondville game has yet to be determined.

All 32-6A softball games were postponed, and the start time for all three games was changed to 6 p.m. tonight. Los Fresnos plays at Harlingen South, Harlingen High travels to San Benito, and Brownsville Rivera plays host to Brownsville Hanna.

Port Isabel’s home softball game against Zapata is slated to be made up at 7 p.m. Thursday.
