A unanimous choice for the 31-5A first team. Averaged a double-double (13.3 points, 12.9 rebounds), pulling down the third-highest rebound average in the Valley. Key contributor for a Sharyland team that secured a share of the district title and advanced to the area round.

Was among the Valley’s leaders in points (14.1), assists (3.8) and steals (4.1), carrying the SaberCats to a share of the District 31-5A title. Was named the 31-5A Offensive Player of the Year as Vela went to the regional semifinals.

BROWNSVILLE HANNA
The Herald’s All-Metro MVP finished in the Valley’s top 25 in three statistical categories, including points (12.3). More impressively, he finished second in assists (7.2) and steals (5.6), while leading the 32-6A co-champions to the area round against McAllen High.
