Notes: Defense will once again be the Cardinals strength in 2014, especially its secondary thanks to senior safety Elijah Deleon, who had three picks a season ago, and senior safety Felix Reyna, who recorded 82 tackles in 2013. Senior Bowie Davis, who played a capable wideout last year, is expected to move into the quarterback spot and lead the offense. The Cards look to have a strong group of running backs including Fidencio Gonzalez, Jonathan Hernandez, Leo Tienda and Rene Medina. The Cards are also blessed with a solid offensive line including OG Stephen Zapata and OT Davis Ericksmopen. Thanks to the beefy line, the running game should blossom and Davis should find himself well-protected. The Cardinals are going for their seventh straight district championship this season and are also out to make their 15th playoff appearance in a row dating back to 2000. Since 1994, the Cards have only missed the playoffs twice (1998 and 1999).
