HARLINGEN — Harlingen High’s standout Maya Quinones signed with Lubbock Christian University.
Quinones, a four-year letterman, has excelled for the Cardinals on the pitch – being awarded Valley Morning Star’s Newcomer of the Year as a freshman.
Quinones followed it up with a stellar season when she scored 23 goals and had eight assists as she made the move from defender to forward and was awarded the Valley Morning Star’s MVP for her efforts.
Quinones was awarded first team all-district forward her junior year and is the captain of the Cardinals this season.
Lubbock Christian University which is part of the NCAA Division 2 Lonestar Conference.
