STAFF REPORTS

The Los Fresnos Lady Falcons were eliminated from the playoffs by the Edinburg North Lady Cougars 3-2 on Friday in Edinburg .

The bi-district round, which was a best-two-out-of-three series, concluded following the contest thanks to Edinburg North’s 5-3 victory Thursday.

“We left too many runners on base,” Los Fresnos coach Traci Blackman said. “We were up 2-0 and then had a couple errors that put them in the lead.”

The Lady Falcons’ season ends after an 11-3 record in District 32-6A that earned them the No. 2 seed.

“It’s been a tough season,” Blackman said. “I am graduating four seniors that I am going to miss very much. This season has been more about life lessons. I am proud of everything we have accomplished. Just wish it would have been a little longer.”
