Edinburg Vela, Hidalgo, Mission Veterans and Sharyland High boys basketball teams remain on the Texas Basketball Coaches Association poll, which was released Monday.
Sharyland High (21-4, 4-0) moved up one spot to No. 21 in Class 5A after beating Valley View and Rio Grande City last week. Edinburg Vela (20-5, 4-0) and Mission Veterans (24-3, 4-1) also moved up one spot to No. 22 and No. 24, respectively.
Vela won its lone game last week, beating Mission Veterans 62-57 to hand the Patriots only their second loss to a Valley school all year.
In Class 4A, Hidalgo (19-5, 5-0) held its ground at No. 22 following blowout wins over Raymondville and Grulla.
